In the poem “Red shift” by Ted Berrigan .The author express his life is red. The red means love and die. It is changed when the age is changed .At the beginning, he expressed his life is very well. Then, he said the life is terrible. And he doesn’t want to die.
At first, he was talking about he is at 8:08 p.m.That means his best time has gone. He use 24 hour as a life. It is dark at 8:08p.m in the day.It is lonely and terrible .He images many bad things.He said "I drink some American poison liquid air which bubbles and smoke to have character and to lean in. "That means he is at a loss. Second, he was talking about his best time. He said "The Calvados is being sipped on Long island now twenty years almost ago, and the man smoking is looking at the smilingly attentive woman, and telling . "At third, he was talking about the impossible thing. He said" when will I die ?I will never die, I will Live To be 110,and I will never go away,and you will never escape from me ."That means he is a unrealistic people .
I think he is a unrealistic people, because he only like young . When he encounter the problem of age ,he will think many bad things.
